10 December--Tidbits from Here and There

A note to readers: None of the following pictures are mine.  I've been mostly working in the office the last few nights and haven't been able to get out.  But there is a fantastic resource on the local computer system (have you ever heard of an intranet?) in which you can post your photos on a temporary drive that is available to everyone down here.  It's cleared out every Sunday night.  Anyway, all of today's posting is from the temporary drive, authors unknown.

Not so Happy Camp.

The following pictures are from the Polar Traverse following a storm.  Wow!

This is the cab of a large tracked vehicle, buried in a drift.  How far down to its tracks?  Eight or 10 feet?

Early on in this blog I mentioned how you have to make sure the windows are completely closed and no cracks or other openings are present.  The snow, blown by wind, will seek out even the tiniest breach.

The caravan after the storm.
